Come Together and Rebuild Foundation
The Come Together and Rebuild Foundation was formed a couple of months after Hurricane Katrina destroyed the Gulf Coast. The way the foundation was started seemed to be none other than God’s own work. Several months BEFORE Hurricane Katrina’s existence, Dasieka Hawthorne (pseudonym is Infinite) had just graduated from Jackson State University; With a degree in one hand and a risky dream in the other hand, this young lady decided to pursue her dreams as a female lyricist--which some would call “a crazy idea.” With years of preparation and prior recording experience with Black Franchise Records and Klaccikal Records, Infinite was ready to prove her talent. She received a call from her hometown informing her about the WJZD 94.5 Talent Show Auditions, so this was her first major opportunity to start networking her music. During the auditions, she met a very talented singer named Adrienne Dean (pseudonym is Lil A) along with mother Wanda Marie Dean and for future collaboration purposes--they exchanged contact information. Infinite’s performance at the WJZD 94.5 Talent Show with support from radio personnel Tabari helped land an opening performance for Lil Webbie on August 4, 2005 at Club Illusions. With more opening performance opportunities available thru Club Illusion’s owner George Bush, Infinite’s hard work was paying off already and this was only the beginning. Then as quick as a bulb blows, the beginning was now an end.
